Ghost Hunt Coffee House Liverpool. Join us as we investigate the ghosts of Coffee House Wavertree Liverpool.

With our event, at the Coffee House starting at 9.00 pm, you can meet from 8.00 pm on the night join us for a small buffet and prepare for what awaits you.

You will have the chance to look at the building before the event, but we do start with an induction and a look at the rooms upstairs and the main bar after hours.

On The Event

As our guests at the event, you will be placed into smaller groups and after a short talk about the history of the building, and some of the ghost stories you will be given a security brief. After a  short break, we will start our ghost hunting vigils. We have a number of rooms to investigate including the cellar, bedrooms and hub room. The upstairs room can be very dark and sinister.

On the night you are welcome to bring your own ghost hunting equipment. You can bring your own snacks, but tea and coffee can be purchased at the bar.

We do have mediums and psychics with us as team members but if you feel you have the ability to communicate with spirits. please do mention this to the team on the night. We welcome your information to build a better picture of the history of the building and of the people who once visited and lived here.

The Coffee House Wavertree

The Coffee House is Wavertree’s oldest pub, with records dating back to 1777 in the Ale House Recognizances. It was the site of an inquest in 1883 following a local tragedy in which a man committed suicide on Dunbabin Road.

In its early years, the bar was a popular day trip from Liverpool, with views across open fields, and it was probably definitely what Moss’s Guide to Liverpool in 1796 referred to as “a nice inn and tavern.” It was the starting point for a horse-drawn tram service from Liverpool, and its conference chambers hosted the inaugural Wavertree Local Board of Health meeting in 1851.
