Calling all teenagers! We dare you to join the DeadLive Events Paranormal Team for a spine-chilling night of ghost hunting at The Old Linacre Pub in Bootle! Step into the shoes of TV ghost hunting teams and explore the eerie, haunted corners of this historic venue.

The Old Linacre, once a bustling pub adorned with Higsons Brewery’s “liver bird and hop leaf” design, was a key social hub tied to Merseyside’s brewing heritage. Now a community center, its unique feature—two stacked cellars, one for canal workers and another for Linacre Lane patrons—holds a ghostly imprint from its layered past. Join us to investigate unexplained phenomena in the haunted cellars and beyond, where voices from the long-lost past may linger, and something (or someone) goes bump in the night, startling the staff.

What to Expect

• Be Part of the Team: Work alongside our experienced paranormal investigators, using tools like EMF meters, spirit boxes, REM pods, thermal cameras, dowsing rods, and crystal pendulums to uncover paranormal activity.

• Vigil in the Haunted Cellar: Experience the eerie atmosphere and help us investigate mysterious occurrences.

• Try Traditional and Scientific Methods: Learn to use dowsing rods, crystal pendulums, table rapping, digital thermometers, voice recorders, and cameras to detect and confirm ghostly activity.

• Call Out to Spirits: For those brave enough, summon spirits to interact with our equipment.

• Rewards for Courage: Survive the night and receive a piece of ghost hunting equipment and a Paranormal Investigator Certificate to show your friends you faced the unknown!

The Important Stuff (For You and Your Parents)

DeadLive Events has been hosting ghost hunts, haunted breaks, and workshops for over 17 years, bringing expertise from hundreds of events. Our goal is not to sensationalize or create artificial frights but to conduct authentic paranormal investigations. Any unusual occurrences will be deemed paranormal only if no reasonable explanation is found.

Our team includes DBS-checked members, first aiders, and parent volunteers (brave enough to join!). While we take these investigations seriously, the event is designed for entertainment purposes only. We combine traditional methods like dowsing and table rapping with scientific tools to provide a comprehensive experience, guided by our knowledgeable team to help you identify and confirm paranormal activity.

Practical Information

• Arrival Time: From 5:30 PM (event starts at 6:00 PM).

• What to Bring: Torch, warm clothing, and a camera. Alcohol is strictly prohibited.

• Parking: Available on-site.

• Entry: Through the front of the building.

• Safety: Our team includes DBS-checked members and first aiders to ensure a safe experience.
