Mayer Hall Ghost Hunt, Bebington – Saturday 4th April 2026
Join us for a night of ghost hunting at historic Mayer Hall in Bebington, Wirral, a quaint village hall with a reputation for strange footsteps, sudden cold spots, and unexplained voices after dark. This atmospheric building feels very different at night and is the perfect setting for a small, focused ghost hunt.
Built in 1878 by local benefactor Joseph Mayer, the hall has served as an art gallery, museum, and community hub, but it is the lingering stories of ghostly activity that draw visitors back time and again. With older foundations beneath the present building, Mayer Hall offers layers of history and energy for you to explore.
What Happens on Your Ghost Hunt
The night runs from 8:00 PM to 2:00 AM, giving you plenty of time to experience Mayer Hall in near darkness. Our team will lead you through structured vigils in key areas of the building, as well as quieter periods where you can explore and investigate for yourself.
You will have the chance to take part in:
Ouija board sessions
Table tipping
Group vigils and calling out
Short periods of lone time (for those who are brave enough)
Everything is run safely and respectfully, and you can join in as much or as little as you feel comfortable with.
Ghost-Hunting Equipment
Throughout the night, you will be able to use a range of ghost-hunting equipment designed to help you detect and record anything unusual. Typical equipment includes:
EMF meters
EVP / digital voice recorders
Dowsing rods
Temperature and environmental sensors
You are welcome to bring your own equipment if you have it; the more we use, the better our chance of capturing something interesting.

We provide hot and cold drinks plus light snacks throughout the event to keep you going into the early hours. There will be breaks between sessions so you can warm up, chat about what you have experienced, and check any photos or recordings.
