Return to one of the Wirral’s most intriguing haunted halls for a chilling autumn ghost hunt at Mayer Hall, Bebington. As the nights draw in, this historic building takes on an even heavier atmosphere, with reports of unexplained footsteps, sudden cold spots, and disembodied voices echoing through its rooms.
Mayer Hall was built in 1878 by philanthropist Joseph Mayer and has been used as a museum, art gallery, and community space, but behind the community events lie decades of ghost stories and strange experiences. Set on older foundations, the hall is believed by many to be a genuine hotspot for spirit activity.
Your October Ghost Hunt
The ghost hunt runs from 8:00 PM to 2:00 AM, giving you six hours of investigation time inside this unique location. Our team will guide you through the most active areas of the hall, combining structured vigils with opportunities to carry out your own short investigations.
During the night you can take part in:
Ouija board experiments
Table tipping and group séances
Group vigils in known hotspots
Optional lone vigils for experienced ghost hunters
You do not need any previous experience; we will explain everything as we go.

We provide a range of ghost-hunting tools to help you try to capture evidence of anything unusual that occurs.

Dowsing rods
Temperature and environmental monitors
You are welcome to bring your own equipment if you wish to use your familiar kit alongside ours.
